Easter Bunny House....how difficult could that be.....

As a cool easter present we got a bunny house that we were suppose to but together. It's kind of like a gingerbread you make at christmas but it is made of sugar cookie ( + candy). I was thinking it would end up just as the box showed but of course that didn't happen. Here's how this is split up....momma, who really doesn't find it a huge deal if it does look like the box or not was not avalible as you all know and mikey with his wild and expansive imagination is with her. Daddy, the perfectionist who could EASILY! make it like the box was at work and Miss. Creativity had a headache leaving me the unamaginative, creativity deprived sister to somehow make this. Most people who read this know how I am and that I like have everything just....perfect. I wanted the house to look just like the box....that doesn't sound so hard, I mean all I had to do was copy what they did, I was SO WRONG! The set up looked easy, it had a tray that you put full of icing then just set it up....ten minutes later as I was finishing putting on the roof candy (which I had already tried to do like the picture and finally gave up and did it however) when I noticed the the roof had almost completley slid off. UGH!!!! In the end the candy is in the wrong place and the house is slumpy like put I just WHATEVER! Here's the picture.

This is how "I" wanted it to look

This is how it ended

I think it looks just fine! I like the fact that it is your own style and it isn't perfect...you know how I feel about those things...just have fun when you are doing it and however it turns out, it will be ok. If we want perfection, then we always have to let Dad do it...hahahahaha! But..I love it this way and I love you!

Those little professional pics always make these kind of projects look simple. Yours is great. I am creative and have tackled the gingerbread house many times and it is usually one of a kind at the finish. I give you an A+ for taking on that task all alone!

you make me laugh...I expected to find a pile of sugar cookie pieces with icing all over the place! (which is how it would have looked in our house) Yours looks great - except for the real grass...come on! Couldn't you have grown some real grass around it?! :) haha
(I think Grandma had wanted my kids to do one, but I didn't see them around here.) Did it taste good?

Listening to your description of wanting it to look just like the box sounded exactly like something I would say & do. Ask my mom....I drive her crazy with wanting things perfect. BUT yours looks great! You should be proud of yourself for even opening the box & taking on the challenge. Bravo!

LOVED IT! But I agree with Beth - where's the grass. You did a great job. I've tried doing things like this before and it takes much patience and dexterity and I don't have much of either. You did a great job and know that any Easter Bunny would have been proud!
