The "Coombs Family Challenge" By: Mom and Dad - Written by the daughter herself :)

Friday or Saturday (i can't remember which) night momma and daddy told us about the challenge that we were all going to do. Other than the New Testament (seminary) I was reading the BOM this year in personal reading. Well, momma challenged us to read the Book of Mormon by the end of the year. It sounded pretty easy since I had just started reading in 4 Nephi. But there was a twist...............................we had to START OVER. I wasn't too thrilled by having to start over from the beginning but I decided to take on the challenge anyway (after arguing for a moment on why I had to start over). I will say that the better way to go about it would have been to just accept it and go and move on but it is hard for me to do considering my wonderful ripe age of 15. Anyway.......Momma told us to read 8 pages a day and that way we would be able to finish by the end of the year. Well, I started and I am really enjoying it. I am finding different scriptures that it almost seemed I missed but I have read it all before. I am really exicted and determined to finish by the end of the year. So I can't wait!! OK, there's my little update on whats up 'round here lately.

My New Hat!!!

I have the most talented sister sometimes! When we went to the second Sarah Palin Rally (the one I didn't like to much) we go some white hats in line for free. I liked that they were free for one but the white I wasn't too fond of. So lauren painted it for me. What do you think?
